Mederic Turay participates at Vision Art Festival 2019

Mederic Turay is back in Switzerland

We are pleased to announce the partnership between: Fondation Invisible Borders, Vision Art Festival and Galerie des Bains.

Thanks to the support of the Fondation Invisible Border and the Galerie des Bains, Mederic Turay will be the first African artist to participate at the street art festival happening in Crans-Montanta.

The artist has been invited to paint a major wall (at the Parking du Grand Signal).

From the 22nd to 31st of July 2019. You are cordially invited to assist this exceptional event.

Vision Art Festival is a one-of-a-kind encounter between nature and art in the amazing setting of the Valais Alps. It aims to create an open-air museum in the mountains, spread over an incredible surface located between 1.500 and 3.000m above sea level. The renowned Swiss resort of Crans-Montana offers an ideal platform to prize the contemporary currents of the Urban and Street art scene.

Lover of neo-Expressionism and Picasso’s cubist compositions, or Francis Bacon complex  portraits, he creates his style “Traces”, which is rooted in an existential relationship with the world in which everyone can identify. Combining different materials, Mederic builds, cuts, accumulates, composes, with energy and spontaneity.

His solo show Itinerary of a Story Teller, in collaboration with the Fondation Invisible Borders, is on view at Galerie des Bains in Geneva until the 7th of September 2019
