Secret Garden

The exhibition Secret Garden will show two totally different artists : Carlo Borer and Bruno Vautrelle. Borer’s inspiration is the abstraction, for Vautrelle nature is the source of inspiration, whereas they use a different mean of expression, sculpture for the first one and photography for the second one.

Swiss sculptor Carlo Borer develops his objects in virtual space, at first using CAD (computer aided design) then by means of complex methods of approaches he puts them in virtual reality and finally with the aid of high-tech tools such as 3D laser printer and ultimately owing to his precise crafting by hand, his sculptures and installations come about in the real world. Borer’s preferred materials are stainless steel, corten, bitumen and bronze. His work will bring a very futuristic touch to this exhibition.

French photographer Bruno Vautrelle has acquired fame for his still-life work and his incredible images of nature. His amazing black-and-white serie « Faux de Verzy » brought him the nickname of « Durer of photography ». His continuous search of the unseen, his incredible stylistic rigor, his precisely composed sceneries, his technical perfection, unconditional devotee to analog photography, make his work very unusual and impressive. The guiding line is a tension between the meticulous transcription of reality and an apparent abstraction, taking the viewer in a fairytale world where nature reveals her spells.
